Every June in the European Union, the catchphrase "Not my crime, Still my sense!" calls attention to the prisoners' children. All children, whether their parents are guilty or not, have the right to live proudly under the principle of non-discrimination in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Hoping that children of prisoners are confidently raised as children of South Korea, upbringing involves an approach centered on the child - providing holistic support, recognizing inherent rights, and engaging in one-on-one interactions - to meet and understand the child with both eyes and hearts aligned.

All children, whether their parents are guilty or not, have the right to live proudly under the principle of non-discrimination in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Regardless of parents' crime, SEUM supports 0.5% of the prisoners' children to grow healthily and confidently within a safe protective environment, enabling them to embrace their uniqueness. Moreover, through advocacy for children's rights and awareness-raising activities centered on human rights, we strive to lead social change, ensuring that children in blind spots of welfare transcend societal discrimination and bias.
Although many people in Korean society may not be fully familiar with the children of prisoners, SEUM will work hard to change this. Furthermore, we will be the closest friends these children can lean on supporting those who are often overlooked or forgotten, especially the smallest and most vulnerable among them, who may be challenging to reach due to their hidden circumstances.
